My name is Pat Rowden, the original owner of Precision Rubber. The company was established in 1996. Shortly after its inception it became my passion. We were the first and only running board reproduction company in the world to design and build equipment capable of reproducing all running board mat patterns. We reproduced over 500 sets of running board mats for customers world-wide. Many of the cars and trucks that displayed our product won prizes at local, national and international competitions. I closed the business in 2003 for personal family reasons.
In December 2010, I felt the market was demanding quality that was not being supplied, so I made the decision to restart a running board mat reproduction business called: "The Vintage Running Board Specialists"
I designed and built a new "state of the art" milling machine, much superior to the one I fabricated in 1996. I also built the current website: www.runningboardrubbermats.com
Since re-establishing the business, we have been reproducing running board mats for customers throughout North America and as far away as New Zealand, Australia, Malta, and Hawaii.
Although at age seventy eight I still enjoy good health I have decided it's time to turn over the business to a younger man. In searching for an individual to turn over the operation of the business to, I was looking for a chap who not only had the necessary skills to do the work, but like myself had a desire to turn out show quality reproductions each and every time. It is my belief that Sherban was a good choice.
I am confident that his reproductions will continue to be award winning show-stoppers.
I will now let Sherban address you:
It is with great pleasure that I take over the duty of providing superior quality runningboard mats for our customers. I feel honored by my new responsibilty.
I respect you as fellow collectors, as I have walked the path from being an admirer, a restorer, a collector of vintage and classic cars, as well as a reproducer of top quality running board mats. There is no question that they will add value and prestige to well restored vehicles, be they vintage, classic or street rod.
I befriended Pat while I was restoring my 1933 Dodge Brougham sedan. It was an instant team-up as it is said: "It takes one to know one". As we started to work together, my 1940 Oldsmobile came into consideration. We exchanged ideas and partnered for the drive to perfection.
Having been schooled as an engineer, I believe there is a way to achieve rebuilding and restoring anything well, if technique and knowledge are blended with artistry, ingenuity and patience.
I am firmly convinced that "The Vintage Running Board Specialists" is now a stronger business and will satisfy the most discerning connoisseur found in the automotive arena. We are looking forward to proving it.
Thank You, Sherban
